As Impact and Development Officer (IDO), the successful candidate will work closely with FCA’s Director of Technologies and Impact, as well as the Leadership Team, to support and strengthen FCA’s impact and fundraising activities. This role sits at the intersection of program coordination, impact reporting and fundraising. The Officer will play a central role in ensuring that FCA clearly measures and communicates its impact, while supporting the organization in securing the financial resources needed to advance its mission. 
The successful candidate will also assist in external engagements, helping to ensure a high standard of transparency and professionalism, across all impact and donor-related activities. The responsibilities include the following tasks:
  • Support the systematic collection and management of FCA’s impact data and activities to enable robust tracking and reporting. Maintain and regularly update impact records accordingly.
  • Support program management activities within the Technologies and Impact team, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and working/coordinating with other departments. Support the Technology and Impact Director with the coordination of meetings, events and impact-related activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of funding and donation strategies in line with organizational priorities.
  • Support relationship management with individual donors, foundations, and other funding partners. Identify, research, and engage new potential donors and funding opportunities.
  • Monitor, manage, and optimize existing donation streams and fundraising platforms.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate donor-facing materials, including impact updates, fundraising materials, meetings and tailored donor communications. Work closely with the Communications team to plan and produce FCA’s annual report and other major publications.
  • Support FCA at donor meetings, briefings, and events, and the organization’s presence at external fundraising and networking events.
  • Organize FCA’s response to donors’ inquiries, ensuring a high-quality donor experience.
Required qualifications | Expertise
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in communications, public relations, marketing, public administration, business administration or other related fields. 
  • At least four years of progressively relevant work experience in program management, donor relations, fundraising, development, or a related role, ideally within a nonprofit, sustainability, or cleantech context. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience producing high-quality external materials.
  • Strong relationship management skills and confidence engaging with external stakeholders and donors. Experience contributing or engaging with the Effective Altruism community is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English, both oral and written. Proficiency in German and/or Dutch is preferred.
  • Eligibility to work in the EU.
Renumeration
FCA offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with applicable allowances, including post adjustment.
Working hours | Work from home
The position allows for a hybrid working arrangement and is suitable for part-time employment.
Duration of contract | Starting date
The position will be filled for two years with the intention to prolong the contract thereafter.  
Starting date would be ASAP.
